SETCO is the only training Institution (Skills Development Centre 4 Youths) based in Mugumu western Serengeti that provide quality and very professional training in variety of courses under Hospitality, Travel and Tourism management. Our graduates are global competitive in hospitality and tourism Industry; as we are the Excellency Centre for hospitality and tourism management within the Serengeti Ecosystem.

SETCO is the only local registered and accredited institution in Serengeti District offering a variety of Hospitality and Tourism related courses to young women and men in the area of Serengeti Ecosystem, Mara region and other side of the lake zone at large since 2006 to date. SETCO was initiated as the results of the case study conducted by Mr.Samwel Peter in the year 2005/2006 on the business linkages of Serengeti National Park, Ikorongo/Grumeti Game Reserves and the business in Mugumu Town and other side of the Mara region showed that; there are more than 65 tourism enterprises in the protected areas and its staffing requirement was approximately 7000. Demand stimulates supply.Therefore, it is for that reason the College was initiated to train the youths from within Serengeti Ecosystem societies for demand beyond Serengeti National Park and Ikorongo/Grumeti Game Reserves.
SETCO is owned by Serengeti Tourism College Ltd which is a private and family owned company based in Mugumu,Western Serengeti, Tanzania. Since then, the College enjoys a historic good relationship with SIngita Grumeti Reserves Ltd (SGR), Four Seasons Safari Lodge, Serengeti (FSSL), Mount Kilimanjaro safari Club abd other more Tourism enterprises within Serengeti Ecosystem which has seen the College benefiting in a number of things including but not limited to placements for students, employment opportunity to our graduants, advice and support on various issues regarding the college welfare
SETCO is strategically located few kilometers from the mighty Serengeti National Park which makes it possible for students at our college to experience the real tourism activities and attain experience from existing tourism enterprises during their training period. The College is located in Mugumu town which is the headquater of the Serengeti district, 12km from Srengeti NP via Tabora B gate, 50km from Ikoma gate, 124km from Musoma municipal and 270km from Mwanza
We have two periods of rain seasons at SETCO/Serengeti DC, periodic rain from October-January and heavy rain from April-May. Temperature normally range from 15 ° C to 30 ° C throughout the year
